U15 NTSC Strikeforce Win TCL Cup

 

96 Strikeforce Red won the Triad Challenge Cup on May 4th. They defeated U16 ICRD Lions in the first round with a score of 2 to 0 then defeated WOW Explosion 3 to 1. The Championship was played against Twins City Navy at BB&T field in Winston-Salem.  With 3 minutes remaining in second overtime, Strikeforce Red scored 2 goals within a minute ending the game with 2 to 0 win. They just were able to avoid going to penalty kicks. The players all step up at times during tournament and made great plays.
 

 

NTSC Annual General Meeting

The NTSC Annual General Meeting will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Mountain Valley Hospice office located in Pilot Mtn.  Election of new officers will be Saturday, May 12, 2012.  Votes will be accepted at FRP or KSC during the end of season tournament.

NTSC Classic/Challenge Tryouts

U12 NTSC Spirits Win “Race City” Classic

The U12 Spirits walked away with the first ever U12 championship for the Race City Classic following an exciting final game which saw them score with 3 minutes to play for the decisive goal in their 2-1 victory over the LNSC Revolution.  The Spirits reached the final game by winning their semifinal 3-1 over BSC Black.  For the tournament the Spirits outscored their opponents 17-3.  The unselfish attitude of the Spirits was evident based on the many goals scored off of assists from their impressive passing and the fact that multiple girls scored.  Bolstering the offensive attack were Kirbi Hunter, Jackie Gigliotti, Gracie Marvin, Zoe Wehr, Marisa Harden, Karlee Easter, Micha Harris, and Taylor Cunningham.  While the stubborn defense that allowed only 3 goals over 4 games was anchored by Allie Hawkins, Sarabeth Tamer, Riley Kiser and Dawson Overby.
